My name is Chad Davis and I'm an audio reporter from St. Louis, Missouri. Since 2017, I've produced award-winning stories for St. Louis Public Radio where I've covered race, arts and culture, breaking news, politics and general assignment stories.

I regularly pitch and report on spots, daily news and long-form features for St. Louis Public Radio. I enjoy tackling stories that touch on serious and often complex topics that simultaneously focus on real people and their experiences. My stories have been feature on NPR, the St. Louis American and The Pulitzer Center.

In 2021, I co-reported and produced an episode of the Peabody Award nominated series, The 70 Million Podcast, on the prison  abolitionist movement in St. Louis.

In 2021, I won an Edward R. Murrow award for best feature reporting for an obituary on a former police officer and civil rights activist who died from COVID-19.

In 2022, I won a Missouri Broadcasters Association award and a Society of Professional Journalists award for my coverage of how reparations could be implemented on a local level.

Besides reporting, I spend a lot of time sharpening my graphic design skills and digital vector illustrations, many of which center around musicians, television characters and pop culture figures.
